Full Notification

At 6:24 this morning, deputies responded to call for service in the 600 block of Corte Regalo in Camarillo regarding an armed and barricaded despondent male. After a three hour period, deputies made contact with the man who was sleeping in his bed. The man was taken into protective custody and transported to Ventura County Medical Center for medical assistance. He will be taken to Ventura County Mental Health for an evaluation after his medical clearance.

There was no crime, no shots fired, and no one was injured during this call.

Through the efforts of all involved, the subject was able to receive the medical care that was needed.
