Fake $50 bills are being circulated in and around the City of Vassar. Here is some information on how to spot these fakes.
- They are fakes of the newer $50 bill
- The marker does work but is slow to respond
- Appears to have the line thru it; however when you
hold the $50 up to the light the line is not there.
- In the right hand corner of the $50 in the gold
portion if you put it to the light the gold turns to a
green color on the real $50 bills, on the fake bills
they stay gold.
