The National Weather Service has issued a HEAT ADVISORY for Williamson County in effect from Tues. Aug 3rd - Aug 5th.

... HEAT ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 1 PM TUESDAY TO 7 PM CDT THURSDAY...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN NASHVILLE HAS ISSUED A HEAT ADVISORY... WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 1 PM TUESDAY TO 7 PM CDT THURSDAY.

* HEAT INDEX: FOR THE PERIOD TUESDAY THROUGH THURSDAY... HEAT INDEX VALUES WILL RANGE FROM 105 TO 110 DEGREES DURING THE AFTERNOON... AND FALL NO LOWER THAN THE UPPER 70S AND LOWER 80S AT NIGHT.

* IMPACTS: DANGEROUS HEAT LEVELS WILL OCCUR THROUGH THURSDAY FOR THOSE PEOPLE WHO MUST BE OUTDOORS. THIS COULD BE THE HOTTEST WEATHER SINCE AUGUST 2007... AND CERTAINLY THE HOTTEST SO FAR THIS SUMMER.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A HEAT ADVISORY MEANS THAT A PERIOD OF HOT TEMPERATURES IS EXPECTED. THE COMBINATION OF HOT TEMPERATURES AND HIGH HUMIDITY WILL COMBINE TO CREATE A SITUATION IN WHICH HEAT ILLNESSES ARE POSSIBLE. DRINK PLENTY OF FLUIDS... STAY IN AN AIR-CONDITIONED ROOM... STAY OUT OF THE SUN... AND CHECK UP ON RELATIVES AND NEIGHBORS.
