The Los Angeles County Fire Department and Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department are advising of the following fires:

1. "Crown Fire" in Agua Dulce:
Fire was reported at 2:22pm. Fire is burning north of Sierra Highway at Anthony Road.

2. "Briggs Fire" in Acton (Soledad Canyon) :
Fire was reported at 2:56 Fire is burning south of the 14 Fwy. near Soledad Canyon Rd. Fire is burning towards Angeles National Forest.

The fires have burned over 4,000 acres.

In addition, the Palmdale Sheriff's Station of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, is advising of the following fire evacuations for the Leona Valley / West Palmdale Area:

Soledad Canyon
KOA Campground 7601 Soledad Canyon Rd
Robins Nest campground 8237 Soledad canyon Rd
Shambala Wildlife Reserve 6867 Soledad canyon Rd

Leona Valley / West Palmdale Area
South of Avenue N Between Godde Hill and Rancho
Vista Blvd to the Aqua Duct. This includes the Ana
Verde Community, the Godde Hill Community, and The
The Boulders Mobile Home Park.

Evacuation Shelters have been setup at the Marie Kerr Park for evacuated people and small animals. Large animals should be taken to the Antelope Valley Fairgrounds.
