2010 AMERICAN REINVESTMENT RECOVERY ACT PROGRAM PROJECTS
The following arterial streets will be under construction during the week of August 2, 2010.
· Central Avenue (Ogliby Road to Morgan Street) located in the 5th ward.
· W. State Street (Church Street to Kilburn Avenue) located in the 13th ward.
· Rockton Avenue (Auburn Street to Fulton Avenue) located in the 9TH ward.
Construction activities shall include, but are not limited to, milling and paving, some full depth pavement patching, adjusting structures, new ADA ramps, some new curb and gutter and other related work.
Parking will not be allowed on W. State Street from Church Street to Kilburn Avenue during the construction process; both lanes of traffic will be shifted to one side of the road for safety purposes. The necessary traffic control and signage will be posted.
CITY-WIDE INLET REPAIRS – 2010
City Wide Inlet Repairs 2010 will be under construction the week of August 2, 2010. This week’s work will be taking place on East State Street from Fairview to 7TH Street.
Construction activities shall include, but are not limited to, repairing inlets at various locations throughout the City of Rockford, parkway restoration and other related work. The necessary traffic control and signage will be posted.
IDOT RESURFACING EAST STATE STREET – 2010
East State Street will be under construction the week of August 2, 2010.
East State Street project limits - (Fairview Blvd to 7TH Street)
Construction activities shall include, but are not limited to, Milling and Paving, new sidewalk and ADA ramps, reconstruction of inlet structures, some new curb and gutter, parkway restoration and other related work.
IDOT RESURFACING (ROUTE 2)
NORTH MAIN STREET – 2010
North Main Street will begin construction the week of August 2, 2010.
North Main Street project limits - (Auburn Street to West Riverside Blvd.)
Construction activities shall include, but are not limited to, Milling and Paving, new sidewalk and ADA ramps, reconstruction of inlet structures, some new curb and gutter, parkway restoration and other related work.
