5 Police Blotter items (PB): Robberies and and some window-smash burglaries

7/16/10

Robbery- Officers responded to Irvington Liquors, 41067 Fremont Blvd., on a report of an armed-robbery that just occurred. The suspects, described as two white or Hispanic males in their 20’s, wearing black clothing with black bandanas covering their faces and armed with black semi-automatic handguns, entered the business and demanded cash from the clerk. After placing the loss into a black backpack, the suspect fled in an older Chevrolet or GMC Tahoe-type vehicle with tinted rear windows

Officers dispatched to an armed robbery at the Little Ceaser’s Pizzeria at Fremont/Sundale. R/P calls to say that two suspects take the cash register at gunpoint and are seen fleeing towards the Waterstone Apt’s. A perimeter is set and a search is conducted with K9 Harkos with negative results.

Five window smash commercial burglaries were reported during the shift. Three businesses in the 37012 Towers complex (Little Kabul Market, Maiwand Kabob House, and Taqwa Islamic Center), Dominos Pizza (38487 Fremont) and a business located at 4700 Hanover Place were burglarized.

7/19/10

Officers N. Johnson and Ferrara were dispatched to the Heritage Village Apartments, 3803 Village Terrace, after a resident watched two suspicious males park a vehicle in the carport area and then jump the fence into the Pentagon Apartments. The vehicle, a grey Acura Integra, was determined to be stolen from an address on Fremont Blvd. Several more officers responded, set up a perimeter around the apartment complex, and began surveillance. Within a few hours, both subjects returned to the vehicle and were subsequently arrested. A 21-year-old male was arrested for vehicle theft and possession of a controlled substance and his 14-year-old accomplice was arrested for vehicle theft and possession of burglary tools (shaved vehicle ignition keys).

A lone black male adult wearing black clothing and ski mask enters the “OO” Liquor store, produces a small, semi-auto handgun and robs the clerk of cash. Last seen fleeing on foot eastbound on Darwin Dr. Investigated by Ofc. Richards.
