ABOUT THE ROCKFORD URBAN MINISTRIES WORKCAMPS PROGRAM
Rockford Urban Ministries Workcamps is a project of Rockford Urban Ministries (RUM), a nonprofit organization comprised of 25 area congregations which addresses justice and community issues, especially in
the urban areas of Rockford. RUM’s Workcamps program links volunteers from all across the country to work
for a day, a week, or anywhere in between, on a variety of projects that aim to improve and empower declining
areas in the city. Since its inception, RUM has hosted over 260 groups that have logged more than 40,000 hours
