Southern Pines Police Department announces
Employee of the Quarter Award for the 1st Quarter - 2010

The Southern Pines Police Department is pleased to announce the Employee of the Quarter Award for the 1st Quarter of 2010. This award recognizes police department employees who have provided exemplary service to the community or performed in a manner worthy of recognition. It is the result of a peer nomination and action by the supervisory and command staff of the Southern Pines Police Department.
Officer Jason Caulder is the recipient of the award for the 1st Quarter of 2010. Officer Caulder was selected due to his diligence and pro-active focus on drug related crime investigations. In his letter announcing the award, Chief Letteney stated:
During this quarter, you conducted several drug investigations resulting in twenty-four (24) drug related charges, three (3) of which were for Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver involving marijuana, cocaine and prescription medications. As a result of these arrests, not only have criminals been held to account for their actions, but a quantity of drugs has been taken off the streets and related property crimes have decreased. You are a pro-active officer who focuses on criminal activity throughout Southern Pines.
The Southern Pines Police Department is proud to recognize Officer Jason Caulder with this award. He represents the professionalism and dedication to the community which is indicative of all members of the Southern Pines Police Department.
