On July 7, 2010 at approximately 1545 hrs a darker skinned male, possibly Hispanic, approached an elderly resident on Kutztown Rd. in Maxatawny Village and offered to replace a sidewalk on their property. The actor parked in an alley behind the home and left the trunk of his vehicle, a white Cadillac, open during the conversation with the resident. Two other actors, both Hispanic males, were seen in the area of the home. The actor, when approached by a neighbor, fled the scene picking up the other two males before continuing southbound on SR 222. This incident is currently under investigation.
Investigators are asking that anyone that may have witnessed anything unusual, including anyone who may have had contact with the suspicious males or vehicle are asked to contact BLRPD at 610-683-8740. Callers may also use the department’s anonymous tip line at 610-683-8740 and select option #3.
