On Tuesday, June 29, 2010, at approximately 3:10 pm Officers from the Auburn Hills Police Department responded to a Bank Robbery at the Fidelity Bank in the 3200 block of University. The teller reported a white male entered the bank demanding money. The teller handed over the money and the subject fled from the bank on foot with an undisclosed amount of money. No weapon was seen or implied. The teller was not injured in the robbery.

The Auburn Hills Police Department in cooperation with the FBI conducted a comprehensive investigation that identified a suspect. The suspect, a 20-year-old Rochester Hills resident, was arrested at his place of employment on Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at 9:30 am. The suspect is currently lodged at the Oakland County Jail and is expected to be arraigned on Thursday, July 1, 2010 in the afternoon.
