San Mateo Police Detectives are still actively pursuing leads and suspect information in their ongoing investigation into the death of David Lewis, a 54 year-old community leader from East Palo Alto. Mr. Lewis was gunned down in the west parking area of Hillsdale Mall at about 5:40pm on the afternoon of June 9th.



Although our detectives continue to work diligently on this case, there is no new information that we can release at this time without compromising the ongoing investigation.



Investigators feel that there may be additional witnesses that have not come forward who may have either seen something and did not identify themselves as witnesses at the scene, or maybe now remember something after hearing of the investigation and have simply not yet come forward.
