This morning at about 10:00 a.m. officers from the South Central Patrol Division, Dallas Sheriffs Officers and members of the Dallas Police Department’s Operation Disruption Unit conducted a quarterly operation at 3550 E. Overton Rd ( Village Oaks Apt’s).

Operation Tattoo is a quarterly operation where South Central Operations targets an apartment complex based on a review of crime statistics and complaints from crime watch groups who have reported an increase in criminal activity.

The plan consists of disrupting the bad elements that hold the residents captive in there own homes. Officers work together with the apartment complex management and obtain information as to who lives at the apartments, which apartment should be vacant and who shouldn’t be on the property all together. The Sheriffs Officers check on Active Warrants in the area. Officers arrived at the location and attempt to ID anyone that didn’t belong there.

There where 17 total arrest made by all members of the operation, including one UCW arrest where a weapon was taken off the streets. There were multiple arrest warrants executed and a possession of illegal narcotics arrest.
