Police Charge Man with Multiple Counts of Child Rape and Sexual Exploitation of a Minor
On June 9 a cellular phone was turned over to Jackson Police which showed video and still images of a child engaged in sexual activity with an adult.
The investigation has revealed that Orlando Reed, 22, of Jackson, had taken nude photographs of a nine-year-old female family member and a video recording of himself engaged in sexual contact with the same nine-year-old female family member in May and June of this year at his apartment in Allenton Heights in Jackson.
Reed is in custody at the Madison County Jail on unrelated charges. He will be charged with Ten Counts of Rape of a Child and Seven Counts of Especially Aggravated Sexual Exploitation of a Minor.
He is scheduled to be formally arraigned in Jackson City Court on Monday morning at 8:00.
The Department of Children's Services is assisting in the investigation.
