A body was found in Beard Brook Park. Modesto Police are on scene and investigating. Suicide is a possiblity. 
At about 3:35 PM a group of cross-country high school runners came across a man hanging from a tree near the river's edge.
The man, believed to be a white or hispanic male in his 20's, was dead upon the first responder's arrival. The coroner's office has taken custody of the body. The investigation is on-going and suicide is possible. Identification of the man is being withheld pending notification of next-of-kin.
