REQUEST FOR ASSISTANCE
The Upper Moreland Police Department is requesting that all residents in the area be attentive to persons who approach homes. Burglars are known to knock at doors in order to determine if anyone is home. If a person answers their knock, the potential burglar often asks for a person that does not live at that address or offers a service such as lawn mowing, rug cleaning, etc. Solicitors are required to obtain permits from the Township prior to knocking on doors. When a person is seen on property that they do not own or rent, the Upper Moreland Police Department would like citizens to IMMEDIATELY call 9-1-1. When a solicitor knocks at a door or a person knocks asking for someone that does not live at that residence, the Upper Moreland Police Department would like citizens to IMMEDIATELY call 9-1-1.
If anyone saw any unusual activity in the 700 block of Fitzwatertown Road on Friday during the hours of 8:30am to 4:30pm, please contact Detective Rick Kerrigan at 215-657-4700.
