This afternoon at approx 3 PM a security guard at the French Consulate reported a suspicious package on Benecia street just south of Santa Monica Blvd. The package was placed within close proximity to the French Consulate Visa Office. The LAPD Bomb Squad responded and investigated. The package was found to be harmless.
