THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PEACHTREE CITY HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF NORTH GEORGIA AND CENTRAL
GEORGIA...

* FROM THIS EVENING THROUGH LATE MONDAY NIGHT

* A SLOW MOVING COLD FRONT FROM THE OHIO VALLEY INTO THE LOWER
MISSISSIPPI VALLEY WILL MOVE INTO NORTHWEST GEORGIA THIS EVENING
AND CONTINUE SLOWLY SOUTH AND EAST INTO CENTRAL GEORGIA DURING THE
DAY MONDAY. A STRONG...MOIST SOUTHERLY FLOW ALONG AND AHEAD OF THE
FRONT ALONG WITH STRONG SOUTHWEST WINDS ALOFT WILL LIKELY CAUSE
STORMS TO PASS OVER THE SAME AREAS MULTIPLE TIMES...RESULTING IN
HEAVY RAIN OVER MUCH OF NORTH AND CENTRAL GEORGIA. WIDESPREAD
RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 2 TO 3 INCHES ARE EXPECTED...WITH ISOLATED
HIGHER AMOUNTS AROUND 4 INCHES POSSIBLE. THESE AMOUNTS WILL LIKELY
CAUSE MINOR FLOODING ON SOME CREEKS AND RIVERS...WITH FLASH
FLOODING ON SMALLER CREEKS IN THE MOUNTAINOUS AND URBAN AREAS OF
NORTH GEORGIA ALSO POSSIBLE.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A FLASH FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT CONDITIONS MAY DEVELOP THAT LEAD TO
FLASH FLOODING. FLASH FLOODING IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.

YOU SHOULD MONITOR LATER FORECASTS AND BE PREPARED TO TAKE ACTION
SHOULD FLASH FLOOD WARNINGS BE ISSUED.
