RED FLAG WARNING ISSUED BY THE DNR AND NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE. 
The National Weather Service, in conjunction with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, has issued a RED FLAG WARNING for Wood County today. The burning of brush, leaves, and grass is not permitted in the DNR Forest Fire Protection Areas. Although not prohibited, campfires, smoking outdoors, use of charcoal grills, and other woodland activities are not recommended.
Very dry conditions combined with forecasted strong winds and low relative humidity today could result in large and very damaging forest fires.
Areas outside of DNR protection have various burning restritions but all of our area is extremely dry and everyone should be vigilant to the possiblity of a wildland fire.
