Arlington Police Officers responded to a call late Tuesday night regarding a shooting victim, who had been driven to Arlington Memorial Hospital by a friend. The initial call came into dispatch at about 11:40 p.m. Tuesday, April 13, 2010. Based on additional calls, officers determined that there was a second shooting victim at the Bella Vista Apartments in the 2800 block of Riverplace. At the apartment, officers located a woman who had also been shot. She was driven by ambulance to AMH, where she was later pronounced deceased. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner will release her name on their Web site once next of kin have been notified. The male shooting victim remains in critical condition in the hospital.

At this point in the investigation, detectives are still looking gathering information about what might have led to the shooting and the identity of the shooter. Anyone with information about this incident, is asked to call homicide Detective Jim Ford at 817 459-5325.

This is the 3rd homicide in Arlington this year.
