Sometime during the early morning hours Friday, 7/31/09, there were at least 4 reported auto burglaries in the downtown area of Port Neches. The burglaries occurred in the 1000 blk of Wagner st., 700 blk of Llano, 1200 blk of Lillie and 300 blk of Ave C.

In each of the burglaries the vehicles were left unlocked and the suspects took in-dash CD players, a Dell laptop computer, speakers, wallet, cash and credit cards. The time of occurrance is between 1:30am and 6:00am.

The Police department would like to remind citizens to make sure that vehicles left outside overnight are locked and secured and that valuables are removed. Also, we encourage citizens to report any suspicious activities or persons in their neighborhoods by calling Central Dispatcher at 409-722-1424
