An attempted carjacking at the Ralph's Shopping Center in Camarillo involving two suspects, one armed with a gun.

On July 25, 2009, at approximately 9:00 PM, the Camarillo Police Department responded to a call of an “attempt carjacking.” The victim reported he had parked his vehicle in the parking lot of Ralphs Supermarket. As the victim was getting out of his vehicle, two male Hispanic suspects approached him. One suspect had a semi-automatic handgun and the other suspect had a knife. The victim sustained a laceration to his face during the struggle. The victim did not require medical attention at the time.
