Park Ridge Police Clear Three Residential Burglaries
By the authority of Frank Kaminski, Chief of Police
On Wednesday February 24 (2010) the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office approved three counts of felony residential burglary charges for Lorenzo Chavez, 19 years of age, from the 4900 block of Springfield, Chicago. These charges resulted from the investigation into three residential burglaries which occurred in Park Ridge on January 5th, January 27th and February 3rd (2010). Investigators worked closely with Skokie Police in identifying a suspect. “Having your home burglarized is extremely traumatic,” Chief Kaminski said. “Knowing that someone was in your home, going through your things and stealing irreplaceable items is a horrible experience” he continued. “This arrest demonstrates the commitment our officers have to restoring the victim’s peace of mind. It also shows others who may consider committing similar acts that this department will relentlessly pursue them and will do everything in our power to be successful in bringing them to justice. I commend our detectives for their fine work” he concluded.
