1. Negligent Discharge Arrest (1634) 2200 Block of Alma Street, Park District
Officers responded to the call location on a report of a person in the front yard firing a firearm. The suspect was detained without incident. A loaded firearm was located. ARRESTED: Juan Carlos Ramirez, 51, for
negligent discharge of a firearm and weapon charges.
2. Robbery (2146) 00 Block of West Harding Way, Civic District
The male victim, 22, was working at a business in the listed area when he confronted a suspect who was shoplifting. As the victim attempted to stop the suspect, she threatened the victim with a knife. The suspect then fled on foot. The victim was unharmed. SUSPECTS: Black female adult.
3. Carjacking (2220) Sierra Nevada Street and Park Street, Park District
The male victim, 61, was in the listed area when two suspects approached his vehicle. One suspect opened the victim's door, pulled him out, and fled in the vehicle with the second suspect. The victim was uninjured. SUSPECTS: Two White female adults.
4. Resisting Arrest (0129) 500 Block of North Monroe Street, Civic District
Officers attempted to detain the suspect, who was involved in a disturbance. The suspect attempted to flee on foot, and force was used to take him into custody. ARRESTED: Kerwin Johnson, 22, for resisting arrest.
5. Weapon Arrest (0146) Harding Way and Waterloo Road, Park District
Officers made contact with an unresponsive driver at the listed location. The male was found intoxicated and arrested. A firearm was located in the vehicle. ARRESTED: Jalen Oneal-McGaskey, 26, for driving under the influence of alcohol and weapon charges.
