On September 20,2026, at 4 p.m. Gibson County Central Dispatch received a 911 report of an accident in the 11000 block of South 150 East near Warrenton. Upon arriving on scene Deputy Wes Baumgart observed that a Blue1990 GMC Truck had struck a utility pole. While speaking with the driver, 43-year-old Michael Robertson of Evansville Deputy Baumgart detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from the driver. At that point Deputies began a roadside DUI investigation that resulted in Mr. Robertson being taken into custody and transported to the Gibson County Detention Center. Mr. Robertson was charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle While Intoxicated.
Deputy Wyatt Lashbrook assisted Deputy Baumgart in his investigation.
