INCIDENT: Fatal Crash

VICTIM(S): David Ngy, 47-year-old Resident of Helendale (deceased)
SUMMARY:
On Saturday, August 15, 2026, at about 5:07 p.m., deputies from the Victorville Station, along with Victorville Fire Department and American Medical Response personnel responded to a two vehicle collision ini the area of Air Expressway and Village Drive.
Through investigation, it was deteriined a grey Jeep Cherokee drove eastbound on Air Expressway toward the intersection of Village Drive. A red Mitsubishi Eclipse, which had two passengers, drove westbound on Air Expressway and made a south bound turn onto Village Drive. The Jeep broadsided the Mitsubishi on the passenger side. The driver of the Jeep, driver of the Mitsubishi, and one passenger in the Mitsubishi were transported to local hospitals for their injuries. One passenger of the Mitubishi, identified as David Ngy, sustained significant injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Members of the Major Accident Investigation Team responded to the scene and assumed the investigation.
The intersection of Air Expressway and Village Drive was closed for approximately four hours for the investigation.
