Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide Bureau investigators responded to the intersection of Rosecrans Avenue and Dumont Avenue in the city of Norwalk, regarding a death investigation to assist Norwalk Sheriff Station.
Investigators learned that an altercation occurred at the location involving the victim, the suspect and possibly three other individuals. Following the altercation, a 21-year-old male was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The second individual, believed to be the suspect involved in the altercation, was positively identified and later located at a local hospital suffering from a stab wound. That individual is currently in stable condition and is being detained pending further investigation.
All parties involved in this incident have been located and there is no threat to public safety.
