NARRATIVE:
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide Investigators are responding to assist Downey Police Department regarding an officer-involved shooting. The incident occurred on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at approximately 7:50 a.m., on the 11800 block of Downey Avenue, in the city of Downey.
The suspect was struck by gunfire and pronounced deceased at the scene.
No officers were injured during the incident.
