Three Suspects Arrested Following Attempted Murder Outside Walmart in Hesperia

DATE: June 30, 2026, at about 7:04 p.m.

INCIDENT: PC 664/187 – Attempted Murder
PC 182(A) (1) – Conspiracy to Commit Crime
PC 32 – Accessory 

LOCATION: Walmart - 13400 Block of Main Street, Hesperia

SUSPECT 1: Jacob McDonald, 19-year-old Male Resident of Fullerton
SUSPECT 2: Jayon Henry, 20-year-old Male Resident of Victorville
SUSPECT 3: Dejhea Morgan, 28-year-old Female Resident of Hesperia

VICTIM(S): Adult Male


SUMMARY: 
On Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at about 7:04 p.m., deputies responded to a shooting at the Walmart Supercenter in Hesperia. The victim, an adult male, sustained a gunshot wound and was transported to a local trauma center for treatment.
 
Through investigation, deputies from the Hesperia Station Gang Enforcement Team identified Jacob McDonald and Jayon Henry as the suspects involved in the shooting. 

On Wednesday, July 1, 2026, Henry was taken into custody near his residence in Victorville.  Later that evening, McDonald was also taken into custody in Hesperia.
 
Through additional investigation, Dejhea Morgan was identified as a third suspect, who was present at the time of the shooting.  Investigators determined Morgan assisted McDonald and Henry flee to avoid law enforcement contact and cover up the crime.  On Thursday, July 2, 2026, Morgan was also taken into custody at her residence in Hesperia.
 
McDonald and Henry are currently in custody for PC 664/187 – Attempted Murder, and PC 182 – Conspiracy.  Morgan is in custody for PC 32 – Accessory.
