On June 29, 2026, at approximately 1429 hours, the Simi Valley Police Department responded to the area of 2091-A Madera reference a collision between a vehicle and pedestrian. Upon arrival, officers located a female adult, 79 years of age and a resident of Agoura Hills, who had been walking on the sidewalk to the front of the business and was subsequently struck by a vehicle which had left the travel lane of the parking lot. The female sustained significant/life threatening injuries and was pronounced deceased on scene.
The driver of the vehicle, who is a resident of Thousand Oaks, sustained moderate injuries and was transported to Los Robles Hospital, along with one of three juvenile occupants of the vehicle who suffered minor injuries. According to the initial information and preliminary investigation, it appears the female adult was walking on the sidewalk in an easterly direction when she was struck by the vehicle which was traveling North through the parking lot and crossed the East/West lanes of travel and drove onto the sidewalk. At this time, there is nothing to indicate drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash. The identity of the victim is being withheld until notification of next of kin.
