University employee arrested for theft

On February 16th 2010, the Purdue University Police Department arrested a university employee, Andrew M. Wright, age 38, on theft charges for illegally using a Purdue University owned credit card. He had utilized the credit card to purchase personal items for himself and the amount was in excess of $314. Wright, being employed in the Purdue University Residence Halls System, illegally used the credit card between January 15th 2010 and February 22nd 2010.

He was incarcerated in the Tippecanoe County Jail on the preliminary charge of theft, a Class D Felony. A class D Felony is punishable by being imprisoned for up to 3 years and a fine of not more than $10,000.
