WLA Station is accepting cards/well wishes for Chief Gates' speedy recovery. Drop off at station front desk. 
For those of you who know Chief Gates he was a big part of the LAPD, creator of SWAT and many other modern policing techniques. He is currently going through a very painful cancer treatment regiment and could use all the good thoughts/prayers and encouragement he can get. If you would like to drop off a card at the WLA Station front desk we will make sure it gets to him.
