**UPDATE #2** Suspect Arrested in Shooting Death Investigation, 30700 Block of 165th St. East, #Llano
Homicide investigators are continuing their investigation regarding the shooting death of a male adult on Monday, February 16, 2026.
A person of interest, Freddy Snyder, MW/29, was detained and subsequently was arrested for carjacking. The case was presented to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, and Suspect Snyder was formally charged with Murder 187 (A) PC., Carjacking 215(a) PC., and Burglary 459 PC.
Suspect Snyder’s bail is set at $2,000,000.

ORIGINAL PRESS RELEASE IS AS FOLLOWS:
Palmdale Sheriff’s Station deputies responded to the 30700 block of 165th Street East, in the city of Llano, in response to a 9-1-1 call of an assault with a deadly weapon had just occurred call. Upon their arrival they discovered the Victim, a White male 67-years-old, lying on the front porch, suffering from a gunshot wound. Los Angeles County Fire personnel responded, and attempted life saving measures. Subsequently, the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
While investigating the shooting call, Palmdale Sheriff’s Station deputies also responded to a carjacking call in the same area. The suspect who committed the carjacking was arrested for that charge and is currently a person of interest only in the murder investigation.
The investigation is ongoing, and currently there is no additional information.
