Who: Sheriff Robert Luna, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department; Deputy Chief Alan Hamilton, Los Angeles Police Department; Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman; Special Agent in Charge Eddy Wang, Homeland Security Investigations; Sara Elander, Director of Programs, Saving Innocence; and representatives from participating federal, state and local law enforcement agencies.
What: Sheriff Luna will announce the results of Operation Reclaim and Rebuild, an extensive, weeklong statewide crackdown on human trafficking. Through the collaborative efforts of California law enforcement and the Los Angeles Regional Human Trafficking Task Force, hundreds of suspects were arrested and adult and juvenile female victims were safely rescued.
The operation mobilized over 80 federal, state, and local agencies and task forces throughout California.
