Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide investigators are continuing their investigation into a shooting death of a male Hispanic adult in his 30’s to 40’s in East Los Angeles.
On Saturday, January 17, 2026, at approximately 3:25 a.m., East Los Angeles Station deputies were patrolling Whittier Boulevard when they observed the victim lying on the north side of Whittier Boulevard.
After contacting the victim, deputies determined he was suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
The Los Angeles County Fire Department responded and pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.
