Princeton man arrested for leaving scene of accident.
On January 9, 2026, at 1:30 p.m. Gibson County Gibson County Central Dispatch received a 911 report of a possible intoxicated driver near the Kings Mine Exit (Old US Highway and US Highway 41 approximately 3 miles south of State Road 64.) The report indicated that a Maroon 2012 Chevy Equinox had struck an Indiana State Department Of Transportation guardrail and left the scene. Law enforcement officers were dispatched to the area, and the vehicle was located in the 1500 block of South County Road 50 East and Deputy U.B. Smith began an investigation into the incident. At the conclusion of the investigation 32-year-old Tyler Robling of Princeton was taken into custody and transported to the Gibson County Detention Center. Upon arriving at the detention center Mr. Robling was charged with Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Accident.
Deputy Smith was assisted by Deputies Michael Owens and Wyatt Hunt. Princeton Officer Matthew Perry also assisted in this investigation.
All criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
