Deputies Respond to Traffic Collision in Apple Valley and Arrest Man for Intentionally Crashing into Another Vehicle

LOCATION: 13000 block of Manhasset Road, Apple Valley
SUSPECT: Andrew Peck, 42-year-old male out of Apple Valley
VICTIM: 61-year-old male out of San Jacinto
SUMMARY:
On Thursday, December 18, 2025, at about 7:20 p.m., deputies responded to the intersection of State Highway 18 and Rancherias Road in reference to a traffic collision. Multiple callers to emergency services reported an occupant of one of the vehicles, Andrew Peck, was swinging a metal pole and acting erratic. As deputies arrived on scene, Peck was detained after a physical struggle with deputies.
Deputies learned that prior to the traffic collision, Peck and the victim argued at a business in the 13000 block of Manhasset Road. Peck followed the victim to State Highway 18 and Rancherias Road, where he intentionally used his vehicle to collide into the victim’s vehicle.
Peck was transported to High Desert Detention Center and booked for assault with a deadly weapon and obstructing and resisting a peace officer. Peck is being held in lieu of $40,000 bail.
