Convicted Felon Uses Firearm to Rob Business and Leads Deputies on a Short Pursuit

LOCATIONS: 17000 block of Bear Valley Road, Hesperia
SUSPECT(S): Marco Canales, 44-year-old, resident of Adelanto
SUMMARY: On Friday, November 21, 2025, at approximately 8:01 a.m., deputies from the Hesperia Police Station received a call for service in regard to a Hispanic male adult, later identified as Marco Canales, robbing a business with a handgun.
Deputies arrived on scene and located Canales driving a black Chrysler. As deputies were attempting to stop the vehicle, Canales fled the location, leading them on a short pursuit eventually coming to a stop at Bear Valley Road and Third Avenue in the City of Victorville. As the vehicle stopped Canales ran, but was later taken into custody.
During a search of Canale's vehicle, deputies located ammunition, a firearm and thousands of dollars in stolen merchandise.
Canales was arrested for numerous felony charges and was booked at the High Desert Detention Center and remains in custody.
