Teen Arrested in Rancho Cucamonga after Riding an Electric Dirt Bike Recklessly and Resisting Arrest

DATE/TIME: Saturday, November 8, 2025, at 6:31 p.m.

INCIDENT: Reckless Driving and Resisting Arrest

LOCATION: City of Rancho Cucamonga

SUSPECT: 15-year-old male juvenile from Fontana, California

SUMMARY: On Saturday, November 8, 2025, at approximately 6:31 p.m., mall security reported a subject on an electric dirt bike at the Victoria Gardens Mall. Security personnel attempted to contact the rider, but he refused to comply and moved to another area of the property.

When deputies attempted to contact the rider, he drove at unsafe speeds, performed dangerous stunt maneuvers, made illegal turns, and nearly struck multiple pedestrians and motorists. His actions endangered pedestrians, motorists, and himself.

As the rider traveled north through the mall, deputies stopped the motorcycle and took him into custody after a brief struggle. He was wearing a helmet and facemask, which prevented visual identification until he was detained and determined to be a juvenile. The rider was transported to the Victoria Gardens Substation, where he was released to a parent. The electric motorcycle was impounded.

The Rancho Cucamonga Sheriff’s Station reminds the public that electric bikes and off-highway motorcycles have an appropriate place for safe and lawful recreation, but they are not permitted on public roadways, in pedestrian areas, or on shared-use paths and trails. Reckless driving and the operation of illegal or off-highway vehicles will be enforced to ensure the safety of everyone in the community.
