Felony Evading Arrest – Highway 101 Pursuit
On Saturday, November 8, 2025, at approximately 10:02 PM, an officer with the Petaluma Police Department observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed on northbound Highway 101, just north of the East Washington Street overpass.
The officer conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle, which was occupied by a single occupant later identified as Aleah Traill (21-year-old resident of Santa Rosa). After a brief interaction between Traill and the officer, she abruptly fled the scene, accelerating at a high rate of speed.
The officer returned to his patrol vehicle, and a vehicle pursuit ensued, continuing northbound on Highway 101 at speeds exceeding 100 miles per hour. The pursuit continued to Santa Rosa, where the driver exited at River Road and continued driving with officers in pursuit.
The pursuit ultimately ended in the 2100 block of Dennis Lane in Santa Rosa, where the driver stopped and was taken into custody without incident. Traill was later booked at the Sonoma County Jail for the following charge:
- 2800.2(a) CVC – Reckless Evading
