*UPD* #LASD Homicide Bureau Responded to a Death Investigation, 3100 block of Euclid Ave., #Lynwood
On October 31, 2025, Sheriff’s Homicide investigators presented the case to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office for filing consideration. Upon review by the District Attorney’s Office, 25-year-old Destiny Harrison, 25-year-old Daniel Monzon, and 45-year-old Ana Zarceno were charged with the following alleged crimes:
• Murder - Penal Code 187(a)
• Torture - Penal Code 206
• Child Endangerment- Penal Code 273a(a)
Additionally, Daniel Monzon and Ana Zarceno were charged with Accessory - Penal Code 32.
“The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Bureau will continue to work hand in hand with our Special Victims Bureau and the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office as this case proceeds through the judicial system,” said Homicide Captain Art Spencer. “No child should have to endure this heinous abuse and pain. The full investigative weight of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department will be brought to bear on anyone who abuses a child or causes the death of a child. All available investigative resources will be used to investigate these crimes, hold those responsible accountable, and bring justice to innocent victims.”
No further details will be shared in order to maintain the integrity of this case.

NARRATIVE:
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau investigators responded to and are continuing their investigation into a child death investigation at the 3100 block of Euclid Avenue in the city of Lynwood.
The incident occurred on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at approximately 8:36 p.m.
Deputies from Century Sheriff’s Station were contacted by an individual who provided information about a deceased child in an apartment at the 3100 block of Euclid Avenue. Deputies responded to the location in order to conduct a welfare check and locate the child. Upon their arrival, deputies made entry into the apartment and located a deceased seven-year-old child.
The victim’s mother, father, and grandmother were detained at the scene by deputies. Three additional children were also at the location.
Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel responded and pronounced the victim deceased on scene.
Based on information obtained by Homicide investigators during their investigation, the child victim’s mother (Destiny Harrison FH/25) was arrested for the murder of her child. The victim’s father (Daniel Monzon MH/25) and grandmother (Ana Zarceno-Carcamo FH/46) were arrested for conspiracy to commit murder. Bail has been set at two million dollars each.
The three additional minor children have been taken into protective custody by personnel from the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services. Their ages are 16,13, and 9 months.
The case is still being actively investigated and no further details about the case will be shared in order to maintain the integrity of the investigation.
