UPD #LASD Homicide Assisted Bell PD with an Officer-Involved Shooting Investigation, 4000 blk Florence Av #Bell
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau investigators are continuing their investigation into an Officer-Involved Hit Shooting Investigation at the 4900 block of Florence Avenue in the city of Bell.  
The incident occurred on Monday, October 27, 2025, at approximately 7:48 a.m.
 
Officers from the Bell Police Department were on patrol in the area of the 4900 block of Florence Avenue when they located a vehicle wanted in connection with a grand theft.  When officers approached the vehicle and attempted to detain the male adult driver an officer-involved shooting occurred.
 
The suspect drove away in the suspect vehicle and led officers in vehicle pursuit.  The suspect vehicle came to a stop at the 2500 block of Slauson Avenue in the city of Huntington Park.  After a brief standoff, the suspect complied with the officers’ commands and was taken into custody without further incident.
 
The suspect sustained multiple gunshot wounds.  Medical aid was immediately rendered to the suspect.  Fire personnel transported the suspect to a local hospital where he was listed in stable condition.
