Rural Crimes Task Force Investigates Train Burglaries, Arrests 17 Suspects, and Recovers Thousands of Dollars in Stolen Property

SUMMARY:   

On Wednesday, October 1, 2025, investigators from the Rural Crimes Task Force investigated recent train burglaries within the Victor Valley area. Three search warrants were served at a residence in Hesperia, a residence in Victorville, and a storage unit in Victorville.

During the search warrant served in the 8800 block of Maple Avenue in Hesperia, investigators identified and recovered numerous items stolen from train burglaries. The BNSF railroad police responded and recovered an estimated total value of $54,442.79 in stolen property. Additionally, investigators seized approximately $19,200 in U.S. currency. Eleven suspects were arrested and subsequently booked on felony charges for possession of stolen property and conspiracy to commit a crime. All individuals were transported to the High Desert Detention Center.

At the 14100 block of Anacapa Road in Victorville, a second search warrant resulted in the recovery of approximately $42,000 in U.S. currency and $133,867 in stolen property linked to train burglaries. All property was returned to BNSF police. Investigators also confiscated eight illegal firearms, including four rifles and four pistols. Six suspects were taken into custody and booked on possession of stolen property and conspiracy charges. All were transported to the High Desert Detention Center.

The third search warrant, served at a storage unit located in the 14300 block of Palmdale Road, Victorville, uncovered additional stolen property associated with the recent train burglaries. BNSF police responded and took possession of the recovered items, estimated to be worth approximately $188,309.

In total, the investigation led to the arrest of 17 suspects on felony charges. Law enforcement seized approximately $61,200 in U.S. currency and recovered stolen property valued at an estimated $376,618.
