Arrests Made in Burglary Series
On September 5, 2025, Simi Valley Police Department Detectives arrested Adam Reyes (36) and Adrianna Negrete (33), both from Simi Valley, in connection with a string of burglaries and thefts that occurred throughout the city over the past several months.
The investigation began in June 2025, when multiple work trucks at a business on Westhills Court were broken into, causing thousands of dollars in damage and the loss of industrial equipment. Detectives later linked the same suspects to an August burglary at Bamboo Café and a September 1st theft in which sports equipment and golf clubs were stolen from a vehicle on Angus Avenue.
Through video surveillance and follow-up investigation, detectives tied the crimes to Reyes and Negrete, who were seen using a black Acura sedan during the offenses. Detectives obtained and served a search warrant at their residence (Simi Valley) and vehicle, recovering stolen property, burglary tools, narcotics, and clothing worn during the crimes. Some of the stolen sports equipment was recovered and returned to the victim.
Reyes was booked on multiple counts including Commercial Burglary, Vehicle Burglary, Grand Theft, and Conspiracy. Negrete was booked on Grand Theft, Conspiracy, and Possession of a Controlled Substance. Both were transported to Ventura County Jail.
