SUMMARY: On Monday, September 1, 2025, at 12:35 p.m., deputies from the Victor Valley Station responded to St. Mary’s Hospital for a gunshot wound victim.
Through investigation, deputies learned that the shooting occurred near the area of Oldenburg Road and Fairview Valley Road in the unincorporated area of Apple Valley. The victim and his son drove out to the dry lake bed when a dark colored vehicle drove towards them. The suspect fired multiple gunshots and the victim sustained a gunshot wound to his upper arm. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
The suspect(s) has not been located and the investigation is continuing.
