Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide investigators are continuing their investigation into the shooting death of a male adult in East Los Angeles. The incident occurred on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at approximately 12:10 p.m.
Deputies from East Los Angeles Sheriff’s Station responded to the 4500 block of Whittier Boulevard in East Los Angeles regarding a report of an assault with a deadly weapon, gunshot victims at the location. Upon arrival, deputies located the two victims suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
The Los Angeles County Fire Department responded and transported both victims to a local hospital. One of the victims was pronounced deceased at the hospital and the second was listed in stable condition.
Investigators learned the two male victims were seated on a bench at the location. The suspects approached in a vehicle; two suspects exited the vehicle and shot at the victims. The suspects re-entered their vehicle and fled the scene westbound on Whittier Boulevard.
The deceased victim has been identified as a male Hispanic 24-years-old, and the surviving victim has been identified as a male Hispanic 47-years-old.
The investigation is ongoing, and currently, there is no information available at this time.
