Traffic stop leads to arrest of Princeton man on DUI charge. 
On August 28, 2025, at 1:17 a.m. Deputy Michael Bates conducted a traffic stop on a White 2008 GMC Envoy for speeding on US 41 near County Road 650 South. Upon approaching the vehicle Deputy Bates observed drug paraphernalia in plain view and began a roadside investigation. During the investigation Deputy Bates administered field sobriety tests after detecting multiple clues of impairment. At the end of the inquiry the 54-year-old driver Brian Beshear of Princeton was taken into custody and transported to the Gibson County Detention Center. Upon arriving at the detention center he was charged with Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated, Possession of Paraphernalia, and Possession of Marijuana.
Deputy Levi Sims assisted Deputy Michael Bates in his investigation.
All criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law
