SUMMARY:
On Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at approximately 5:20 p.m., deputies from the Victor Valley Station, Central Station, and medical personnel responded to a call for service for a subject that sustained gunshot wounds, near Wagon Train Road & State Highway 138, in Phelan.
Deputies contacted the victim and confirmed the victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Medical personnel transported the victim to a local hospital for treatment. A passerby vehicle was also struck by gunfire during the incident. No one inside the passerby vehicle was injured.
Witnesses described the suspect as a Black male adult, approximately 6’00, average build, last seen wearing a black t-shirt. The suspect used a handgun and drove a black sedan, possibly a Nissan Maxima or Altima. The suspect fled northbound on the I-15 freeway. A second vehicle, which was possibly involved in the incident, was described as a black sedan and left the area in an unknown direction.
