We are pleased to share an update on the progress of the Magoun Avenue Water and Sewer Improvement Project. 

Crews have been working diligently to upgrade critical underground infrastructure along Magoun Avenue. These improvements will ensure more reliable water and sewer service for residents. 

We are happy to report that the Chicago Avenue intersection will be fully open to eastbound and westbound traffic by the end of this month. 

Our next area of focus will be crossing under the railroad tracks with utilities and then continuing North on Magoun with sewer and water replacement. 

We thank you for your continued patience and cooperation during this process. Construction of projects of this scale can be disruptive, but the long-term benefits will be substantial: stronger infrastructure, safer roads, and improved quality of life for all who live and work in East Chicago.
