INCIDENT: Burglary
LOCATION: Metro PCS, 21520 Bear Valley Road, Apple Valley
SUSPECT(S): Marcus Barney Jr, 37-year-old male, of Victorville
Paul Wright Jr, 37-year-old male, of Victorville
SUMMARY: On Friday, July 11, 2025, deputies with the Apple Valley Station responded to Metro PCS in reference to a burglary. Through investigation, it was determined that Marcus Barney Jr gained entry to the business by breaking a window. Barney stole approximately $23,000 worth of cash and merchandise that was secured in a locked metal box and fled the scene.
Deputies contacted Barney and Paul Wright Jr at a residence in Victorville, where they were found in possession of the stolen merchandise. They were taken into custody without incident and the merchandise was returned to the business owner.
Barney and Wright were booked at High Desert Detention Center for possession of stolen property and Barney was additionally booked for burglary. Both are being held in lieu of $30,000 bail.
