Sheriff Clint Roach reports that on 07/12/2025 at approximately 2300 hours, his deputies of the Cass County Sheriff's Office responded to a single -vehicle crash on Rudy Rd, south of Gage St, Wayne Township, Cass County Michigan.
 
 The investigation showed that Ethan Foster (20 years old from Dowagiac, MI) was traveling northbound on Rudy Rd. Foster lost control of the vehicle traveling off the roadway to the right into an embankment and striking a tree. The vehicle came to rest in the embankment . Foster and his passenger Jaden West (18 years old from Dowagiac ,MI) and a juvenile passenger were all able to exit the vehicle on their own. All occupants of the vehicle were transported to South Bend Memorial Hospital for injuries sustained in the crash.
 
 All occupants were wearing seatbelts. The question of alcohol or other intoxicants being a factor in the crash is currently under investigation.
